Guided tissue healing for root coverage: a case report


Summary

Notwithstanding the indications of periodontal plastic surgery are well established in the literature, sometimes they are associated in order to achieve better post operatory results. This article presents a case report where gingival recession of tooth #31 associated to radiographic bone loss due to occlusal trauma was observed. After the control of bacterial plaque and the elimination of local secondary factors, an association of periodontal surgical techniques, comprising tissue healing guided by an autogenous subepithelial and bone grafts was performed, to reestablish the normal aspect of the affected area.
