Diastema closure with semi-direct veneer: Case report


Summary

Diastemata are excess spaces between teeth. When it affects the anterosuperior teeth, it may lead to aesthetic dissatisfaction of the smile. Today’s dental materials allow us to modify the shape, size and proportion of the teeth in a conservative way, thus improving the aesthetics of the smile, as well as the patient’s self-esteem. The aim of this article is to describe a clinical case of multiple diastema closure, by the association of gingivectomy, bleaching and semi-direct composite resin veneers. The relationship between Periodontics and Dentistry made possible to restore the proportion and harmony of the patient’s smile with simple and minimally invasive procedures.
