Aesthetic solutions with the use of an infiltrating resin

Summary

Changes in tooth structure may be generated by dental fluorosis and molar-incisive hypomineralization, which negatively influence the aesthetics of the smile. A number of techniques is available to solve opaque white spots caused by these conditions, such as tooth whitening, microabrasion and aesthetic restorations using composite resin or ceramics. The choice between a less invasive or a more invasive treatment depends on the severity of the spotting. Recently, a new technique was introduced – resin infiltration. The use of this new technique brings a minimally invasive therapeutic approach, performed in a single session, free of cavity preparation, anesthesia and pain. In this way, this work aims to report clinical cases with the use of infiltrating resin for aesthetic solutions.
